How Valentina Embedded Server Connections Work
As a Valentina Developer Network member, you can
deploy Valentina Embedded Server royalty free. With Embedded Server Connections,
you have an incredibly flexible way to create and deploy multiple or tiered
versions of your products to fit the needs of your solutions business.
When you application initializes the runtime, Embedded
Server automatically supports five simultaneous connections. These connections
are “unnamed” so it doesn’t matter how many unique connections
exist, so long as only five connect at any one time. In most cases, the default
five connections are enough to serve applications for any small, and many medium
sized businesses.
Start With Five. Go Higher.
For each deployment, you can add more connections. For example, you want to
deploy your server application to five companies and each requires 20 connections.
This would require a total of 75 additional connections (five “free”
each + 5 companies * 15 connections). Connections are sold in bulk, so the more
connections you need, the less they cost.
Start With Five. Go Unlimited.
Valentina technology is a lesson in removing limitations, and some of your
customers will require unlimited connections: for them, there is Valentina
Embedded Server Unlimited. Embedded Server Unlimited is a per-deployment license
that can only be ordered by VDN members, giving you control over your application
deployment.
Start With Five. Go Centralized.
There may come a time when a client wants to have multiple solutions that work
with a single installation of Valentina Office Server. Because the APIs of Embedded
Server and Office Server are virtually identical, you have great flexibility
in being able to migrate your solutions around a single, centralized server.
Valentina Developer Network is available in several
membership levels, for use by a single developer seat. Initial VDN memberships
are good for one year and are extendible. .
