Page 1 of 5 Valentina 4 is an exciting release for Paradigma Software customers. Not only does the technology release of Valentina 4 mean improved performance and new features for existing products, but also the introduction of new products – namely Valentina Studio Pro (in open beta) and Valentina Reports reporting services. Along with these releases, there are several changes to pricing and product make up. This is a guide for current customers to help them understand these changes. This document includes pricing policies that may change while this article is available on the Paradigma Software website. Any pricing in the Paradigma Software online store is the correct price. General ChangesParadigma Software is making some general changes in how all upgrades work. Streamlined LicensingConsiderable customer feedback suggests that Valentina 3 licensing was too complicated, especially for VDN Connections purchases. Paradigma Software is committed to easier, more streamlined licensing, especially for developers who have to support their own customer base. While this means fewer variations on product configurations, it also means Paradigma has made the reconfigurations based on ongoing customer feedback. If you have a special licensing need- you should contact Paradigma Software. Renewal PolicyParadigma Software is moving towards an update policy that encourages customers to keep their software up to date. Renewals are when you renew your previously purchased product so that you can continue to receive technology updates. If you renew while your product is still eligible for updates, then you are entitled to the renewal rate price rather than repurchasing the product at full price. You also agree that by renewing your product, you agree with whatever changes in product configuration accompany the renewal. Product Line ChangesPlease review over the next few pages about the changes made to all product lines. |
