2 questions regarding Valentina server:

- What is the officially sanctioned way to use databases outside of the Library folder? For now I told my customer to use a symlink. The free space on his server computer isn't large enough and he wants to use the database on a RAID instead.
- Should the "sa" user simply be deleted? Shouldn't there be a warning if this user is still active?

Hello Beatrix,

I usually install VServer outside the Library folder in order to manage backup myself (with my application). Mostly because installing in the Library folder bring authorisation problems and complicate things for the end-user if he isn't an IT-person and some problem raised with VServer.
In Windows, the Innosetup script manage well this custom installation. In MacOS, I've not automated the process and must modify myself the plist file that launch the Server process in the /Library/LaunchDaemons folder to indicate where VServer is located.

Installing outside of the Library folder might be a good idea. I'll check this out. Don't you need authorisation for /Library/LaunchDaemons?

Yes. That's why I manage this myself in MacOS. I don't use installer in this case. Only in Windows.

It's certainly doable, but don't had time for now to explore this.
