In PgAdmin3, you can view the constraints on a table. For example, the _pkey constraint Postgres adds for primary keys. Is there a way to view this in valentina studio? I can see indexes, relations (foreign constraints) and uniques but can't find the constraints.

Thanks!

Hi Daniel,

soon should arrive VStudio guys, meanwhile I have connect to some postgreSQL db, and I also see: Checks, Indexes, Unuques, FKs,

Primary Key field is marked with a KEY icon in the Fields area.

So I wonder what exactly constraints you want to see? And why?

Do you want to see all constraints together under some section "Constraints"?

Hi Daniel,

Right, a Primary Key is managed on the Fields tab of Design Table dialog.

The big thing is I needed to see the name of the constraint as I was doing something programmatically that needed to know it. Relatively new to postgres so didn't realize that it created a constraint when a primary key is created that I had to deal with separately unlike mysql where it is just an index.

pgadmin3 showed it to me under contraints: http://cl.ly/image/1V3h3L1r322R
valentina studio just showed me there was a primary key http://cl.ly/image/3G2V1l3k1E1q

Thanks!

Well, I think always it is possible to use some SQL command to see that constraints in raw form.

Sergey, what you think if there is sense add folder Constraints also under Schema?
but then this should be raw format ... just list ...
We can also allow 'remove' command for such list.

But what about 'create new' ?
