Good morning. I downloaded the free version to try, but I am not able to connect to a local sql server.

I have tried to use:
localhost
"."
local ip address
and local computer name.

I am receiving an error:
[FreeTDS] Unable to connect: localhost 1433 - master.
This is also attached.

I am able to connect to the server using ms sql server management studio.
I have also tried a sql server account instead of windows management

I am using Valentina 9.1 (64-bit) on windows 10

Question:
Does the installer install FreeTDS or do I need to install FreeTDS? Is there a way to validate FreeTDS installed correctly?
