Expressions and summaries in headers or footers based on grouped by data is relatively easy. But what if I want to have a summary at the end of the report, maybe in the report footer, that:

Counts product A, total of product B, total expense of C, etc....

How do I format an expression to receive these results?

Hi Scott,

Right, ordinary Summary can't be used for it.

But is should be possible to write separate queries to get this info, right?

1) Expression field with such query can be inserted:
=(SELECT COUNT(*) FROM t1 WHERE f1=1)

2) Subreport with such query SELECT COUNT(*) FROM t1 WHERE f1=$(param1).
Use of subreport gives an ability to specify parameters for this query in code.

Yes I agree totally! And that is what I am doing now.

But the downside is that I have so many different sub reports all crammed in to my report footer.

I was just curious to see if there was a way to use an expression as a subquery and use them versus the 5 or 6 sub reports I have now.

Thanks for the info!
