Hello

My project is a single project file, the font in the report is Frutiger, a TTF font legal buyed by Linotype. I print a pdf with Xojo, and report ADK the report an all are happy. All is perfect (see in the hardcopy).

Now I copy this project file in VServer and register it, nothing changed. Really nothing. In my Xojo code I open now the project form the server and - ohh, uuups, :o the font is changed with (I think) Arial.

- Managed on the Vserver, the report preview from Studio shows good, export a pdf from Studio is bad. Export as BMP from Studio the view is terrible to see it (sure is a bitmap) but I think it is Frutiger.

Regards Roger

So, now its clear. I have tested on 2 other pcs

It was 2 things.

- The font must be installed in windows folder, it not was on all pcs, (only for users)
- The folders in Vserver must have all rights for the user System. Can be it was my problem, I had tried to install my own OEM Server.

Now I am happy. :D

Have a nice weekend Roger

It must be any with the projects folder under vServer64.

- the font is installed in windows/fonts nothing in user/appdata
- the font not can be corrupted because it works with an other location from the same project
- in the hardcopy you can see the png export vrom Studio, project under vServer - I say nothoig about 'not perfect' :p
- if I copy the project from project folder to download folder an open it in Studio it works
- give all rights to the project folder not helps - sorry to all users and program this helps.

the project folder in the original installation blocks the font. I go to check now, which user is to change

Could you please recheck that exported image from the Valentina Studio (you can select PNG format) has Frutiger font? What is wrong with it?
If it is Frutiger font - VServer recognizes this font.

Export files are always rendered at VServer side, so if it uses the font in one format, it will use it in all formats.

With the preview, it is different. VServer generates a description of the page and VStudio renders page accordingly to this description using fonts availably to its process.
That's why preview may be correct and export is wrong - they use different fonts.
But after installing for all users, Frutiger must be available for both processes (that's what I see in my tests).

Hello Roger,

Looks like this font is not visible to VServer process.
Did you install it for all users?
You just need to right click on your font file and select install font for all user.
