Reports adk linux host
i have problems my xojo app works on linux,win,mac but when i open the app with Reports on iOs or windows 8 or android it crash.

Hi Alexis,

I think you should provide more details.

1) on iOS? How you do that? V4RB ADK not exists on iOS, so __zero__ our code there.
So how? You ask VSERVER to generate Report? which? PDF? HTML?
In any case your iOS just get PDF or HTML.
There is no code from us.
So what crashes?


2) You say it works on linux, win, mac, but on windows8 it crashes.
Then on which windows it works?

* WebApp - it runs on some SERVER, yes?
Xojo allows us develop web-apps, which are server-side. Right?



* Do you use
2.1) Valentina Report Server?
2.2) LOCAL report engine?

okay, ubuntu server. Which runs your Xojo WebApp
and there is no Valentina Server installed on this ubuntu?


So what runs on iOS ??

okay, SQLite is on iOS. This is DB.

But there is no any Report Engine on iOS.
Your Report engine and your WebApp is on computer with ubuntu.

you need have your DATABASE on that ubuntu Server.
Then CLIENT (any: iOS, Android, DesktopOS) - ask WebApp ___generate___ report.

Client itself cannot generate reports.
It should get READY report from server app.

so i have to install valentina sqlite server or postgresql for the reports to works.

So does it crash or just shows a blank page and continue processing other requests?

Isn't it a PDF report, which needs to be printed (we'we discussed recently)?

No, not exactly.

Then I again will ask -- what runs on iOS ?

You use Safary on iOS to check report?
Or you have client-side application made in Xojo, which runs on iOS ?

Maybe a mobile browser can't render PDF document placed into the WebHTMLViewer.

Can you try to put HTML data into WebHTMLViewer?
If that will work, you can generate PDF on demand, only when printing on paper is needed.
But for display on a web page use HTML.

There shouldn't be too much overhead, because a report is generated once, and then only printed into HTML, PDF, etc.

hi sergey

I am using windows 8.1 table and when i print from WebHTMLViewer look so bad so i try to load i pdf on WebHTMLViewer and then print to see if look ok.
