Columns with long text data appear very wide, often pushing other columns off to the right beyond the edge of the screen. With the way that the horizontal scroll bar snaps, it is difficult to resize the column down so I can see all the columns. Can you please give the columns a default width that is more manageable when we view the table contents on both the schema and the data editor? Thanks.

Hello Shawn,

Yes, I think we can decrease the default width. Now it is set to fit ~24 average size characters for VarChar type

I should have added a screenshot. I had a column with json data in it, and the width was massively large, way off the screen. Of course, I can't reproduce it now. If I can, I'll add a screenshot. I'm using sqlite.

I reproduced it. The third column in the image goes way off screen. I can resize it, but I have to resize it every time I view this table.

Hello Shawn,

Thank you, in the next version, the maximum default width will be limited, this limit can be adjusted in the Preferences (Data Editor section).
