Hello,

will the Valentina Server (VServer) be able to run on the ARN-PCs out there? (Like the Raspberry PI and / or the BananaPI).

I use these low Energy Devices often as Network and DB Servers (for MySQL / MariaDB and for PostgreSQL), i'd like to be able to Install the VServer on these devices so i don't need to have an x86 Server in my Network anymore.

Best Regards,

René Landscheidt

Hello,

no sweat. It's nice to know that it might be comming. For now i use an older PC as my Valentina DB Server.

So take your time first with the 6.0 Server. At the Moment i can wait. My Software which i'll be using the Valentina Server with is still in Development.

Best Regards,

Hello,

The ARM Version of Valentina Server is still 6.5.

Will we get a new 6.5.1 Build later?

Valentina Server 6.5 for ARM (along with major ADKs):
http://valentina-db.com/download/release/lin_arm_32/

Compared to beta, it contains all recent fixes and fix for crash on ARM on sorting of large number of items.

Hello,

So. VServer Installed on my BananaPI Pro (now Running FREE Licence).

Next Step copy the Database(s) to the BananaPI Server.
Compile my own "Beta"-App again with the new VDB-ADK and VDB-RDK, Change the Server IP / Server Settings.

And Test. :) :D

Hi All,

you can download first archive of Valentina Server for Raspberry here:

http://valentina-db.com/download/prev_releases/6.4.1/lin_arm_32

This includes all 3 main components:

Valentina DB Server
Valentina SQLite Server
Valentina Report Server

On this week we will also add Xojo plugin for this platform.
It already exists and works, just we need setup automated build machines for this.

We will consider Raspberry as "another linux", so you should use standard our licenses for linux.

You can get free license as always in our online store.
Free license includes:
[*] 5 connections for Valentina DB and Reports Servers
[*] 10 connections for SQLite Server.

Well,

don't know about others - but most of the people(friends) i know around here wo have also a raspi-"server" oder raspi-"mediacenter" use the Raspberry PI 2 B, the BananaPi has always been an ARMv7 Chip.

Ok. The Primary idea came to me after i read that Xojo now supports compiling for ARMv7 - and i thought nice now i can run the Server Application on my BananaPi's - and tought if only VServer worked on ARMv7 i could us this as server and remove the old (and power-hungry Server) i have here. ;-) The PC Hardware of what i use as server is now nearly 20 Years old.

Compiling for ARMv7 - this means that Raspberry Pi 1 and Zero are not supported.
Is it OK? Nobody needs it?
