I recently got a message that I needed to go to the store and receive a new serial. I did so, selected Valentina Studio Free, proceeded to checkout, clicked finish and got the serial. When I try to put it in I get a message that it is an invalid serial.

Hello, On Valentina Studio Registration Wizard, i entered all required information along with the serial no: 240313 00208184. after doing that, the FINSHED BOTTON remained locked. I cannot click on finish botton. can you help me please. Thank you


That is an order number, not a serial number. Those first six digits is the date you placed your order.

OK, thanks, I see. I was trying to get a license for Valentina Studio. Somehow I misread everything (and assumed Valentina Studio had a new icon!)

Hi Benjamin,

That's an order for Valentina Server. Valentina Server uses a server file, which is attached to the email sent to your email address. Valentina Server loads the server file on start up.

I see, but when I put that in and try to register, the "Done" button remains greyed out in the registration wizard. So I thought that that couldn't possibly be the serial. What's going on?

Just log in and go here:

https://valentina-db.com/en/my-account/my-orders

Click on the order number and scroll to the bottom of the page.

The serial number is also in that csv in the 'serial data' column.

I click "download serials" but I don't see any serials? (I get a small .csv document) Where can I find the serials?

I have not used my Studio Pro version for some time (years? version 8.5.5). When I tried to use it, it said my serial had expired. I found my email receipt, and entered that serial. Still no go. So I went to the website, logged in, and downloaded the serials I had registered with you. Still no go!

What can I do to get my old version working? I might consider upgrading, but not until the one I have works! :-)


Hi Jan,

If your license is the one you purchased on May 20, 2016, then it will work with all releases that came out until May 20, 2017.

Go to this URL:

https://valentina-db.com/en/download-valentina-studio/current

On the bottom right, click previous releases.

You'll have to check the dates there or, you can look at release dates on documentation or developer blog to figure out the last version covered by your license.

I have not used my Studio Pro version for some time (years? version 8.5.5). When I tried to use it, it said my serial had expired.

I found my email receipt, and entered that serial. Still no go.

So I went to the website, logged in, and downloaded the serials I had registered with you. Still no go!

What can I do to get my old version working? I might consider upgrading, but not until the one I have works! :-)

Hi Glenn,

190426 00103831 is dated 2019-04-26, so it is older than 1 year.

IF you have try use that serial with builds later than 2020-04-26, (i.e. 26 April 2020) then build will say your serial is expired.

We have 2 such builds already
10.2 - 6 May
10.3 - 11 May

Since you use free serials, you can go to our site, log in to the store, and place an order of free Valentina Studio.
In 1-2 min you will get automatic letter with new serials for the next year.


P.S. your serial is not working only with these new builds. You can use it forever with builds UP TO 2020-04-26.

P.S.2 This info is usually useful for users of PRO serials.

Hi Rob - what is the order number of the serial that didn't work? We can test it on our side to see if its a problem. There have been a few times in which I've copied (for pasting) a serial number thats gotten an invisible character mucking things up.

I also am experiencing this problem and I am using the correct serial. As well, this isn't the first time this has happened.

Hi Rob,

the only I can guess, you have got 3 serials but used one wrong for your OS.

Please notice that serials have:
-M- for mac
-W- for win
-L- for linux
