Hello,

I want to set the optimum value of the CacheSize parameter for my embedded vServer. How can I find it ?
Currently the database have 60 tables.
Some of my customers have 3 tables with 100,000 to 200,000 records and 2 tables around 500,000 records.

Hi,

there is no strict rules,

play with numbers 10 - 20 - 30 - 40 -50 Mb.
Usually this range of numbers is ok

Mmmh, thank you for your answer. But it doesn't me a lot...
Why should I use 10 or instead 30 Mb ? Are there some rules (witch ones) or no rules at all ?? Help me to understand the logic, please.

You may do following SQL:

SHOW STATUS

And see many params there. For example "CACHE FLUSH". It is about how often the cache flushes pages to the disk.
Try to change the cache size, if you see less flushes, then this cache size more effective for your app.

Mmmh, I tried 10, 20 and 30. Show status show exactly the same result for the tree CacheSize values.
